Our Safety Tools

We build safety directly into the Fachat experience. From the moment you open the app, multiple layers of technology work together to protect you. Here is how our tools keep the community safe.

Adaptive Video Blurring

When you enter a video chat, the other person's camera feed starts blurred by default. The blur only lifts once our system confirms a real face is visible on screen. This prevents users from being exposed to inappropriate or explicit content before they have a chance to react.

If the system detects that a face is no longer visible or that inappropriate content appears, the blur reactivates automatically. You also have the option to keep the blur active or disconnect at any time.

AI Content Recognition

Our AI-powered content recognition runs continuously during video sessions. It is trained to detect nudity, explicit gestures, and other visual content that violates our Community Guidelines. When a violation is detected, the session can be interrupted, the offending user flagged, and moderators alerted for review.

This system improves over time as it processes more data, becoming increasingly accurate at distinguishing between normal interactions and policy violations.

Real-Time Face Detection

Fachat requires users to show their face during video calls. Our face detection technology verifies in real time that a human face is present on camera. This serves two purposes: it discourages users from displaying objects, pre-recorded footage, or inappropriate imagery instead of their actual face, and it helps confirm that you are speaking with a real person.

If no face is detected for an extended period, the system may prompt the user or end the session.

Age Verification

Fachat is strictly for adults aged 18 and older. During registration, every user must complete an age verification step. We use a combination of ID-based checks and behavioral signals to confirm that new accounts belong to people who meet our minimum age requirement.

Accounts that fail verification or are later found to belong to underage individuals are removed immediately. For more details, see our Child Safety Policy.

Chat Language Filtering

Our text chat includes an automated filtering system that scans messages for inappropriate, sexually suggestive, or offensive language. Words and phrases on our blocklist are intercepted before they reach the recipient, particularly during the matching phase when users are still getting to know each other.

The filter updates regularly to reflect new slang, coded language, and emerging patterns of misuse.

Block and Report

Every user has access to block and report tools from within any conversation. Blocking a user immediately ends all contact and prevents future matches. Reporting sends the case to our moderation team for investigation.

We encourage users to report any behavior that feels wrong, even if they are unsure whether it violates a specific rule. Our team would rather review a false alarm than miss a genuine threat. Learn more about how reporting works on our Make a Report page.

24/7 Moderation

Our moderation team operates around the clock. Between automated detection systems and human reviewers, reports are evaluated quickly and action is taken when violations are confirmed. Serious offenses — including anything involving minors, credible threats, or illegal activity — are escalated immediately and may be referred to law enforcement.
